I know this blog was posted years ago and I hate that it took so long for me to run across it. I spent half of my childhood and early adulthood in this house. The house had been abandoned and vandalized when my grandparents, Robert and Helen Covington, bought it around 1962. The two of them worked together to bring the Twining house back to life. My grandfather put all his energy into making this old farmhouse a comfortable and welcoming home for my grandmother, my mother, myself and even my kids. He still did all the upkeep himself: plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning gutters; up until 2004, when he passed away just shy of 90 years old. My grandmother (Mimi) , his partner of 65 years, couldn't go on living in this house without my grandfather (Papa). So she sold the house in 2005. The work the Chesneys did was wonderful and did nothing but add to the feeling of " home" that this special house exudes. I only hope that whoever should come to make this house their home will be able to find the feelings of happiness, warmth, family, and belonging that my family was fortunate enough to experience over 40+ years and 3+ generations. Oh, and, should you be forced to give up this house for any reason, be sure to let me know first. I'd be happy to bring it back into the family. Robert Murray
